Heat and humidity run from May through October, and heat index readings above 105 are common. Hurricane season also causes evacuation-driven demand for tires, batteries and fluid checks. Winters are mild, though the February 2021 freeze showed how badly the region handles ice. Salt air near Galveston Bay and Baytown adds underbody rust that inland Texas does not see.

Without zoning, Houston relies on deed restrictions and HOA rules, which often limit repairs in driveways and on streets, so confirm with the customer and check local restrictions.
